Mural number 3!
Have you spotted a new colorful mural on your walk around town? The third mural has been officially completed and ready for the public. “Safe Walk Home An Underwater Journey” by James Nichols’ Salinas High School Graphic Design ’24 class depicts an underwater journey with different sea animals ranging from a hammerhead shark to clownfish!
How many different species can you see in this underwater mural? Located at La Paz park!
The Salinas Safe Routes to School Sidewalk Art Project is a collaboration between TAMC, Building Healthy Communities, Clean California, Safe Routes Monterey, the City of Salinas, and Artists Ink. Installing artists & Staff for the “A Global Underwater Journey” are Adrian Cornejo, Ricardo Ibarra, Mariana Jimenez, and David Tapia
