Craft & Cultura Art Market, presented by Artists Ink. is now accepting applications from artists and artisan vendors for our upcoming events. Whether you’re emerging or established, local or from beyond Monterey County, we invite you to apply and be part of a market designed to uplift creatives, celebrate cultura, and highlight the rich artistic talent in our comunidad. All selected artists and artisan vendors will receive a free space to showcase their work, ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and opportunity for all who wish to participate.

Taking place in the alley between 228 and 232 Main Street, as well as the plaza area beneath the iconic Salinas Arch, the market transforms this central gathering spot into a lively celebration of local creativity and culture. Each event features:

  • 20 to 24 local artists and artisan vendors
  • Food vendors offering local favorites
  • Live music and DJs
  • Live art painting demonstrations
  • Kids activity area
  • And more community-powered experiences

Our goal is to create a space where artists can sell or promote their work, network with other artists, and introduce themselves to new audiences, while also providing a place for the community to come together for one unified cultural experience. All artist and artisan spaces are free, ensuring accessibility and opportunity for all who wish to participate. As the Craft & Cultura Art Market continues to build a platform where creativity flourishes and community connections thrive.

Requirements to Participate:

  • Must be a local artist from Monterey, Santa Cruz, or San Benito County
  • Full legal name when signing up
  • Work must be original, handmade, or artist-designed
  • Participants must provide their own table and chair
  • Must have a public Instagram
  • Artwork must be appropriate for public display
  • Show respect for the space and fellow participants
  • A completed application form must be submitted

Alejandro M Casanova is a Graduate of CSUMB, with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He is currently working as the Marketing Director and Event Producer for Artists Ink and is the Manager for a cumbia urbana band ¿Qiensave?.
